My cousin told me about father Pio and how she has asked him to intercede on my behalf during my personal health challenges. Thanks for the beautiful site. This is my moms patron Saint, she passed away 2 days ago. I was just looking for some insights because I will say a few words at her funeral. I see now how my mom lived her life and what selfless love and devotion she had for her family and the similarities of the Love that St.Therese has. She found her patron Saint. She is with her now.

I wanted to add - after reading some of te other entries - that 10 years ago I visited Italy. While there, I went with my mom to visit the Church of St. Rita of Cascia. It was when I returned home that I read about her. I am male, but I find great comfort in reading about the love and devotion of such greatness. I refer not only to St. Rita, but also to St. Theresa and St. Bernadette. Amen.

I first saw St. Bernadette's photo in an email sent to me by a friend at the office. After seeing it, I told myself that one day soon I will go and see Her coffin and want to see Her myself. I never knew that time that I will be given the chance to go to Italy for a training. Next month, from the Philippines I will be going to Italy and I will be having a side trip going to Lourdes and Nevers. This might be a wish come true or rather an answered prayer with my fervent wish to see Her in Her glass coffin. This webpage of yours has helped my realize once more the true value of humility. In my moment of silence how I wish I could read all the story of saints and it is very timely for me to surf the internet during my noon break just to reflect my life that what is really important to live the life to the fullest. As I read the life of St. Bernadette, I am very thankful to God to allow me this hour to read her life because seldom could I spent a little time to read the life of a saint, and with her life it really reflected that life is nothing without God and without the intercession of our Mother Mary. My Wonderful father Patrick Ryan died recently about 2 1/2 months ago & my parish St Michael & All Angels are taking me to Lourdes with them(aren't they great).
